- Dr. KC Uwakwe, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMH-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health provider through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Winston-Salem State University. With over 17 years of combined experience in inpatient and outpatient Psychiatric Nursing, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, and Informatics he brings extensive expertise to his practice.
- Dr. KC specializes in treating anxiety, depression, ADD, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorders, sleep disorders, and maternal mental health, including pre- and postpartum care. He also provides compassionate care for individuals facing men’s issues, women’s issues, grief and bereavement, and transgender-related concerns. His approach to care is holistic, built on trust through active listening, open communication, and empathy.
- He provides psychotropic medication management and psychotherapy using Evidence-Based Practice to support mental, emotional, and overall well-being. His collaborative approach prioritizes building a trusting relationship with each patient, ensuring individualized care tailored to their unique needs.
